Your prints are professionally assembled using Larson Juhl 4 ply Snow White and Onyx mat board and mounted with museum corner mounts. Being conservation quality, it is acid free and lignin free. The 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20 flower prints are created using Epson Fine Art Velvet Paper. It is 100% cotton rag and acid free. This combined with UltraChrome ink creates a stunningly beautiful print. Independent tests by Wilhelm Research project a color life of over 60 years when displayed under glass. For an additional $6.00, prints will be coated with Premier Art Shield. This process greatly enhances UV light resistance to fading. This will dramatically extend the life of the print.

All other photo categories and sizes including 20x24 are made using resin coated Semimatte Photo Paper. Perfect for high resolution images, the semimatte finish minimizes glare while producing brilliant colors. Wilhelm Research projects a color life of 67 years under glass. All prints are secured to ¼” acid free foam board with museum corner mounts with the exception of matted prints. When completed, the print is then placed in an Impact Crystal Clear Bag for protection.

I would like to add a few personal comments in regards to film and digital photography. The images you have considered in my gallery are naturally some of my best. To sharpen my photo skills over the years, using a heavy medium format camera has paid off. For an all day shoot, I would limit myself to just one roll of film. That would allow me to take just 10 pictures. Most of the time I returned home with 3 or 4 shots left. Compare that with the high capacity compact flash cards available today! To waste film never entered my mind. I taught myself patience and to look for the little things. I would return to the same location at different times of the day just to see the change in lighting.

Photography has given me a real appreciation of nature. It's an inspiring moment to see the first rays of sunlight softly light a snow covered mountain. Was it worth the half hour wait in the dark with snow up to my knees? Absolutely! My goal has always been to let the lens see what my eyes see. For those of you who have a passion for photography have experienced this same emotion.

Before the digital age we would take our film to a lab for processing if we didn't have our own darkroom. We would leave it up to the technician to figure out exactly what we wanted. Today we can do it ourselves on the computer. It is both a blessing and a temptation. While looking upon digital photo displays, I find myself asking, "Is this a photo of what the camera really saw or is it the result of a manipulated digital print?" I still take my time and look for the little things. If you happen to attend an arts and crafts show I'm participating in, stop by my booth and introduce yourself. I'd be happy to meet you.
